Nanah México is the first zero-waste brand to receive the V-label Seal in Latin America.
The V-Label is a Swiss certification of origin established in 1996, recognized worldwide as a distinctive feature that guarantees that no products of animal origin are involved, either in the composition or in the manufacturing process of the product.
The cosmetics industry uses ingredients of plant and animal origin, sometimes with identical names, which makes it difficult to differentiate their origin. In addition, some additives of animal origin used in production are not included on the label.
V-Label certification guarantees the consumer that the product has undergone a rigorous inspection of its composition during its development and production.
Some non-vegan ingredients in cosmetics are:
- Squalene (shark liver)
- Lanolin (sheep's wool fat)
- Glycerin (pork or beef fat)
- Royal jelly (bee production)
- Hyaluronic acid (cockscombs)
- Collagen (various animal tissues)
- Honey (bee production)
- Beeswax (bee production)
- Snail slime (produced by snails)
- Propolis (resinous substance from bees)
